The Clay Target Team was developed under the guidelines of the Scholastic Clay Target Program (SCTP), the SSSF, in cooperation with the Amateur Trapshooting Association (“ATA”), the National Skeet Shooting Association (“NSSA”), the National Sporting Clays Association (“NSCA”), USA Shooting (USAS), Carroll High School and can expose individuals in high school to the positive experience of the shooting sports.
The Southlake Clay Target Program is an 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization that promotes and protects the traditions of target sports by training parents, coaches, mentors, volunteers and youth to respect, conserve and love outdoor sports.
The competitive shooting season begins in September each year and includes mandatory safety training. SCTP league and non-league competitions are held on various weekends throughout that time. Regional and National tournaments are held in the Spring and run through the Summer. You may compete in as many competitions as you like.
Our goal is to provide a positive experience for all involved as they participate in the exciting and challenging sports of trap, skeet, and sporting clays in a supportive environment taught by trained adult coaches focusing the safe use and handling of firearms.
